Hazrat Usman bin Gufan said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said that greet the month of Muharram, whoever greets this month, Allah Almighty will send him or her to heaven and protect him or her from hell. (By greeting, it is meant that spend your time in worshipping Allah Almighty in this month). There is another Hadith in which the Prophet (ﷺ) said whoever keeps 10 fasts in early Muharram hence he has done worship equal to 10000 if he prays at night and keeps fast in the morning. The Prophet (ﷺ) also said that if a person wants the fire of hell to be forbidden upon him than he should keep fasts and said that Allah Almighty made the month of Muharram the most sacred month and said that one fast in Muharram is equal to more than one year of worship and said the one who worships on the Fridaynight he gains the night of Qadr and for every night he will acheive the blessings from both humans and faires. The Prophet (ﷺ) said that on the first night of Muharram pray eight rakat namaz with four salam in such a way that after reciting surah Fatiha the onw who recites surah Ikhlas; Allah Almighty will forgive him and said whoever prays this namaz on the first night of every month, he and his wealth as well as his children will be safe from problems and wrong doings and he will receive reward of one year of worship for every rakat and said that on the first night of Muharram whoever prays four rakat namaz in such a way that after reciting surah Fatiha he recites surah Ikhlas three times in every rakat; for every rakat he will receive awards 40000 years’ worth of worship and said whoever prays two rakat namaz on the first night of Muharram in such a way that after reciting surah Fatiha if he recites surah An'am than he will be cleansed of all sins in such a way as if he was just born and for every letter he will gain a maiden in heaven.

First night:

on the first night of Muhram ulharam, anyone who offers 6 rikat nafil Salah with 2, 2. In first rikat after surah Fatiha one time Ayatul Kursi and 11 times surah Ikhlas and after salam recite 3 times سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِکِ الْقُدُّوْسِ سُبُّوْحٌ قُدُّوْسٌ رَبُّنَا وَ رَبُّ الْمَلَا ئِکَۃِ وَالرُّوْحِIn sha Allah get a huge reward. Anyone after Isha offer 2 rikat salah in which after surah Fatiha 3 times surah Ikhlas then he will get many rewards from Allah. On the first night anyone offers 2 rikat salah and after surah Fatiha 3 times sural Ikhlas after finishing salah recite this dua

Then Allah saves him from evils and protect that person, and he will get barkat in his sustenance.

Nafil fasting:

Hazrat Hafsa said that “4 things Nabi Kareem never leave, fast of Ashura, fast of Dulhijja from 1 to 9, every months 3 fast (13, 14 and 15) and 2 rikat before Fajr salah.” (Nisai)

In other Hadith Hazrat Ibn Abbas narrated that “I have never seen Nabi Kareem intended Ashura fast and the fasting of Ramadhan”.
